1992
COERCION was formed by Kenneth Nyman, Rickard Thulin and Pelle Liljenberg.

1993
After having added two more members to the band, we entered the studio in october to record our first demo HEADWAY. Being not totally satisfied with how it came out, we decided to remix it and rerecord the vocals. Also the song "Take The Pain" was excluded. It was then rereleased with a new cover. It cought the interest of several recordlabels, but although very close, no contract was signed.

In May/June, we went on a European tour together with FLESHGRIND (US) and RESURRECTED (GER). We were then supposed to record our third album at the Sunlight studio. But due to the lacking of songs and inspiration, we were forced to cancel the recording. Rickard decided to try his wings, and left the band later this year.

Despite being only two members left in the band, Kenneth and Pelle E kept working on the new material. To add new members, several musicians were tried out, but we had no luck. Rickard then rejoined the band in late 2001.

2003
The year started with two german shows with bands like PURGATORY, MANOS, UPPERCUT. In spring we went to Karlstad, Sweden to do a gig with REGURGITATE. In July the vocals on LIFEWORK were finally recorded. In August we played at the HOLE IN THE SKY FESTIVAL in Bergen, Norway. In November a contract was signed with german label ANIMATE RECORDS, for the release of LIFEWORK.

2004
We did some releaseparty-shows for LIFEWORK in Germany. We played at MOUNTAINS OF DEATH open air, and did a show back home. Other than that, the year went on with nothing much else happening.

2005
Early this year, the band was more or less dissolved due to various reasons. In April we were supposed to go in to the studio to record our next album. But as we just weren't ready in time, we were forced to cancel. We did a show with GODHATE, CENTINEX and DECIEVER in Stockholm early this summer. Rickard then announced that he's leaving the band. At present Ken, Dag and Pelle continue working on the new songs. More determined than ever. The search for a second guitarplayer has already begun...
