It's obvious that you are influenced by MORBID ANGEL, but you have a totally different sound, which is much more rough. I like this sound very much but, why didn't you make more clearer?

"Subterraneal Magnitude" IS A LOT CLEARER THAN OUR "SUPREME EVIL" CD PRODUCTION WISE. WE HAVE A VERY RAW SOUND BECAUSE THE GUITARS AND BASS ARE TUNED DOWN SO LOW. WE LIKE OUR SOUND DYNAMIC, CLEAR, POWERFUL, RAW AND BLASPHEMOUS!!!!

You recorded your album in the Greenhouse FX studios. What can you tell me about the studio and why didn't you record in the famous Morrisound studio? WE WANTED TO WORK WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS WORKED WITH THE BEST SO WE CONTACTED JUAN "PUNCHY" GONZALEZ. WHILE WE WERE TOURING WITH MORBID ANGEL HE DID OUR SOUND ALSO. WE REALLY WANTED TO WORK WITH HIM IN THE STUDIO SO HE SUGGESTED GREENHOUSE FX WAS THE BEST PLACE FOR THE BUDGET WE HAD.

On Subterraneal..." is Bryan Hipp on guitars, but in your info stands, that Jerry Mortellaro plays there. So, what's right and is this the Bryan from BRUTALITY?

JERRY MORTELLARO IS IN THE BAND NOW AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS!!!! THIS MUSIC IS A WAY OF LIFE FOR US NOT SOME FLY-BY-NIGHT BULLSHIT. IT TAKES A SPECIAL FORCE TO MAKE THESE SONGS, NOT JUST ANYONE WILL DO. I HATE CHANGING MEMBERS. THIS IS OUR CONCRETE LINE UP. EVERYBODY GETS ALONG GREAT.

I read that you were formed in January 1997 and played your first show one month later. Did you have some tracks ready before that show or did you only play old tracks from HORROR OF HORRORS and NECROSIS?

BRIAN AND PAUL HAD SONGS BUT DIDN'T HAVE A DRUMMER WHEN WE FIRST TALKED ON THE PHONE, SO WE ALL GOT TOGETHER AND WORKED THE SONGS OUT TO WHERE WE COULD ALL COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER'S STYLES,  WITH RULES KEEPING THE MUSIC BLACK SATANIC EVIL AND HEAVY. OUR FIRST PRACTICE WE WROTE THE SONG TREACHEROUS SCRIPTURES. THE REST OF THE SONGS FOLLOWED QUICKLY!! ONE MONTH LATER WE OPENED FOR VADER!!!

Perhaps you can tell me something about the mentioned bands and who played in which band?

DIABOLIC IS ALL THAT MATTERS NOW! WE DON'T RIDE OFF OUR OLD BANDS. THIS IS OUR 2ND FULL LENGTH CD AND YOU STILL WANT TO KNOW ABOUT THE LAST BANDS WE WERE IN???? THATS CRAZY!!!!

Before "Supreme Evil" you recorded only one demo, which had much success and wre also re-released on CD. Did you expect such great rections on this demo?

YES!!!!! WE PLANED EVERYTHING OUT. IT WAS TIME FOR A NEW BAND TO COME OUT OF TAMPA AND WE DID IT. WITH HELP FROM TOURING WITH CANNABAL CORPSE AND MORBID ANGEL, WE LEARNED QUICKLY. NOT TO MENTION SENDING OUT OVER 2,000 DEMOS TO FANZINES, RADIO-STATIONS, COMPS ECT.

How went "Supreme Evil"? How many copies did you sold and what do you think are the main differences between this album an your new one?

THE PRODUCTION IS BETTER ON "Subterraneal Magnitude", TOTAL DIGITALDEATHBLACKMETAL AND WE PLAY FASTER FOR LONGER PERIODS OF TIME. 'SUPREME EVIL' HAS SOLD AS WELL AS EXPECTED.

You recorded a very great cover version of MORBID ANGELs "Rapture". Did you also made other cover version and which other bands had an influence of your music?

YES WE ALSO DID OTHER TRIBUTES OUT ON DWELL RECORDS, BANDS INCLUDE: KREATOR- UNDER THE GUILLOTINE/SLAYER-"KILLING FIELDS"/VENOM "BURIED ALIVE"/SODOM "SEPULCHERAL VOICE"/DESTRUCTION  "THE RITUAL" AND WE DID A COVER OF METALLICA "THE GOD THAT FAILED". WE ALSO DID A COVER OF POSSESSED "NO WILL TO LIVE" FOR NIGHTFALL RECORDS.

In America you played many festivals and tours, but when will we see DIABOLIC live in Europe?

A THREE-WEEK DIABOLIC EUROPEAN TOUR STARTS SEPTEMBER 7 2001 IN GERMANY!!!!!!!!!!!

I have read, that Paul is doing pornos. Is that right and did you look some of this films?
