Hi French brothers in Death Metal! Welcome in Carnage #11! I think no one knows something about KABBAL, so tell us a little bit about the beginning, demos, former bands, former members etc! As I remember right, KABBAL is the first Band from France who'll explode our unholy Mag!!! Ok, my mettalic German brother, I have formed KABBAL in 1999 with an other line-up,we have made our first demo called "The Wretched", more thrash, we have changed of line-up and we have made "Supreme Ritual" which approachs our present style, we've changed again of line-up (I resume) and we've made "Heretic" which permissed us to have a deal with Diamond Prod. I am pleased to explode your mag, you know, I think Germans are most active and passioned to support metal and our album has been well received in Germany, it's fucking great!!!
Our contract with diamond prods is about two records, Diamond Prod. is a new label, with a few ressources, but Jerome, our producer makes all he can to make us grows up, and his label. At this moment, we're working on the second LP. Tell us a little bit about the Death Metal scene in France? I`ve heard LOUDBLAST do it again? The french metal scene is exploding, but few bands (not boy-bands) can resist the time, I've heard that LOUDBLAST is reformed too, that's good, but I hope they'll be more brutals. What's up with gigs? Can you play live as often as you want? We'll do some dates soon, but it's hard, in my region, there's nothing to play, it's always the same problem. I should ask you about the gay scene in France, for my buddy Uwe! You must know, he's in Thailand for seven weeks, hahaha! I don't understand your question, why are you interested in the gays so much? What does it means? Are you gay? You can tell me, I won't laugh at! (héhéhéhé) Ok, talking about your music. The infosheet says your influenced by SLAYER (who is not influenced by these masters???), MORBID ANGEL and SUFFOCATION. The two bands at the beginning I can hear, but I can't hear any influences from SUFFOCATION!!! Or am I deaf? No, you're not deaf, except if you abuses shaking your cock, I'm a great fan of SUFFOCATION, I'm influenced when I compose, you can hear the influences, if you're concentrated, but influences doesn't means the same riffs. Please Hazael, describe the stile from KABBAL by yourself! KABBAL does death metal sometimes brutal, not grind, but still thrash with power solos and technicals passages, KABBAL sounds good (for everyone, I hope). The material is very brutal, no commend! What's your goal with KABBAL? We don't have a "musical" goal, we what to sound death! I think the material on "Synthetically Revived" must be very old! So what can we expect on your next record? I think you have already written new material, huh? Not very old, but how I told you in a precedend question, we're working on the new one, it's not already finished, I think it will be more extreme, as much in the speed passages as in the heavy passages, but nothing is sure, it's just what I can tell you for the moment. I've never heard about the "Damage Inc" studio. Tell us a little bit about the studio! I think the sound on the record is as brutal as fuck! The guitarsound shreds!!! DAMAGE INC studio is based in Italy, Dario Mollo is the engineer, he's a guy with a fucking great experience in metal (not extreme) he has played with BLACK SABBATH, RAINBOW, he is in a band with Glenn Hughes and he's a fucking great guitarist, that could explain the guitars sound. The cover looks also brilliant! But what's the idea behind it? What should the cover tell me? The cover was made by Jacek Wisniewsky,is based on the title "Synthetically Revived" (also a title of SUFFOCATION), on it, you can see a man synthetically revived and now a synthetic murder (maybe the rebirth of french death metal). Could you tell us a little bit about the lyrics on "Synthetically Revived"? Especially the lyrics from "Trihedron" sounds really raw! We have several themes on S.R, a genetic experience or an extrasensorial experience, trihedron is the most old text with "Wisdom Of The Grave" and he's speaking about the three elements of nature by the sumerian mythology (like: gilgamesh epic in "Supreme Ritual"). Not many bands from France come to conquer Germany live! Will KABBAL break the ice, soon? The last band from France who fucks my ass was France Thrash Masters NO RETURN and these fuckers kill live everything!!! You know them? What do think about French biggest export in thrash metal? You like them? Are you into Thrash Metal? I hope!!! Maybe soon we'll come to play in Germany, it makes me crazy,I don't know NO RETURN personnally, but we'll try to do as good as them. I think there's NO great band in France which has knew exporting very well, we'll try to. We are thrash metal! What can we expect from a Kabbal live gig? Naked Girls? Dildo dipping, Blow jobs for everybody, hahahaaha. Yes!!! Blow jobs for everybody!!! And at the end of the live, a total roman orgy!!! Are you into football? If yes, this question is for you! When I remember right, the last World Championship was not for you, right, hahaha! I think the epique tricolore (right?) came back home with no bloody point, right? A shame!!! I'm into football, and you're right for all, but now, we'll see the next Europeean Cup and the next World Cup (in Germany). Remember these names: Zidane, Henry, Trezeguet, I hope Oliver Kahn will stop their shoots... If you ask me, the best and most brutal tracks on "Synthetically Revived" are the monsters "Wisdom of the graves", "Life surge", "Trihedron" and "The Marble City". That's death metal in the right vein! What are your favourites on it? Also they sound a little bit like LOUDBLAST, huh? Hell, I love their Debut "Sensorial Treatment"!!! Yes, good! My favourites are "Epitaph Of The Elder Ones", "The Great Massacre Or Scientific War". "Wisdom Of The Grave", "The Marble City Are Our Elders", that's why they're thrash. I don't think they sound like LOUDBLAST, they're not our influences. Who is Melissa Casseri? She was the daugther of Jerome she had a genetic illness and now she's deceased. Let's do some blabla! The last records you've bought? The last gig from Kabbal was when and with whom? The last concert you've payed for? I have bought the last IMMOLATION...fuck, too great. Our last gig was in Nice, in a shity place... mmmhhhh VADER and KRISIUN in Cannes, enormous! Do have some informations about the trendy Black Metal scene in France, hahaha. I know, you love Black Metal, hahahaha! ...Why do you think I love black metal? What about the fanzine scene in France! Are there cool zines? There are fortunately a lot of fanzines in france, fortunately because they're the principal informationship of the underground. Why should anybody buy "Synthetically Revived"? It sounds good.
