Is the summer coming with great steps like here in Germany? Or simply asked: Tell us some news about Deathbound, hahaha! K- Hell-o and fuck you too!Summer is coming too slow and still I'm freezing my ass off when I go to work in the morning. Deathbound is heading for the studio in a couple of months to record a split 7" with Deathchain,should be a worth while experience,cause we will record all things in two cabins located in the woods (exept the drums) of Kuopio,Finland. We will play at the Tuska Festival after party 17.7. which also should be a nice drunken memory heh.
The whole album is a real brutal killer! As I said, congratulations! And the best is… it doesn`t sound like the whole U.S. Frogg Death Metal Bullshit!!! The next congratulation to you!!! Are you satisfied with the album? K- Yes! and thank you man! We are quite satisfied, it turned out better than we expected. There is allways something.Like vocal arrangements and shit, but still an “better than average” assault. Frogg deathmetal? do you mean the grunting? well I like to be more understandable?so you can follow the lyric sheet I guess,and it sounds more aggressive when you can hear more of the words than “uuuuggrrhhh aaarggghhh ufh ufh ufh!!!!” Cummin` to the early days from Deathbound! Tell us a little bit about the past: former members, demos, when did you start, how old are you and the rest? What are you`re jobs? By the way please give me your creditcard number, hahaha
Tell me a little bit about your influences? What are you hearing mostly? K- Pete should probably answer this,but I guess I know a litlle of his music taste. It’s mostly grindcore and deathmetal but also some good rock n roll. It sums up his influences hahah. An open mind with a twist is all that needs to create some good shit. Some years ago I`ve heard a track from Deathbound on a Mighty Music Sampler, but there you`ve played very old school Death Metal when I remember right?! Why did you change your stile? K- it was jsut a natural progression/regression, we just made new songs and they became much simpler and groovier. It just happened OK!? hahah I think it`s very hard to find very good Death Metal Bands in Finland! The one I know is Deepred. And at least Nightwish, harharhar The most Finish band follow the folktrallalla gay stuff like Children Of Bodom and othe gay stuff, huh Tell us a little bit about the scene in Finland! Any good newcomers that are worth our mention? Do you know the gays from DEEPRED?
I don't have the lyrics from your album but when my ears don`t lie I can hear very often the word "misanthrope" or "misanthropic", right? Is this word important for your music, your lifestile, etc? What is the secret behind? Tell me a little bit about your lyrics! What is the "Whitecoatparanoia"? K- Misanthropic is the word you hear in the song “Treacherous Breed”, and no it’s not my lifestyle. It’s about the general population and how they think about people who are not “your average Joe” so to say.People who think for themselves and dont follow all fucking rules,people have a tendensy to be afraid of them.So therefore the “catlle in panic!”line.Whitecoatparanoia?it is about being paranoid of being considered as insane,being put into an asylym for the rest of your life.And basically being even more paranoid hahah What do you expect from Woodcut Rec.? Do you think they do a good job for you? K-Well the thing is that we are changing our label as we speak,you’ll know the label as the 7” is for sale. What we expect from a label in general is co operation,no promises which can’t be kept, nor other kind of useless shit. We are not here to make a buck,that is why I choose to work my ass off. So I can kick the shit out of myself on stage, during the weekends.Woodcut released the album,did the promotion.That’s good enough. Did you play life so far? Will you tour in Germany? I think a lot of Death Metal and Grind maniacs will see you? K-Hopefully yes,we are very cheap people! so get intouch for a high quality ass kicking.Ofcourse we would like to tour germany!If not for this album, then for the next. How are the reactions about the album so far? K- Allmost too positive heh,I’m very very pleased with the reactions.As long as it stirs up peoples thoughts then its all good. What does a finish Metalhead the whole day, when not playing rockstar , hahaha? K-Works 07.00 - 15.00 and day dreams about the shit you've just described.The weekend goes by living up to those dreams. |
